Send Happy
New Year cards
instead of Christmas
cards. (Yes,
I am calling
it Christmas)
You can write
and mail them
after Christmas
day and still
have time to
enjoy the holiday.
Send the cards
to people you
have NOT seen
this year. Or,
better yet,
call them and
wish them a
Happy New Year.
If you have
a cell phone,
and haven’t
used all of
your minutes,
it’s a
free call.

If you do
not want to
gain the usual
8 – 12
holiday pounds,
stop eating
at 7:30 pm.
You can spend
your time wrapping
presents, re-writing
your list and
planning your
shopping trips
for maximum
time usage.
You still may
gain wait, but
not as much
as in the past.
You may actually
use this trick
for the rest
of the year. |

Look at all
of your holiday
decorations.
What aren’t
you using this
time? Did you
use them last
year? It will
probably be
the same this
year…so
pack them up,
donate everything
you didn’t
use, or don’t
love to a charity.
You will start
the New Year
conquering the
clutter. |

Look at the
list and decide
what shopping
trips you can
combine and
do both together.

Shop on line.
I did all of
my shopping
on line during
my lunch hour.
Usually I like
to wait until
December 23.
I know exactly
what I am buying
for everyone
in my family
and if the store
doesn’t
have it, the
person gets
a gift certificate.
This technique
worked until
a few years
ago when I started
shopping on
line. Most of
the presents
are bought on
eBay and everyone
loves them.
Try it. Just
remember to
use a reputable
site.
